Urine My Bed
16mm, 3:30 minutes, 2003
Original super-8mm film footage of mattresses that have been discarded on the side of the road is hand-colored, frame-by-frame, with a “stain” and optically printed (re-photographed) so that the “stain” becomes animated. The film suggests that when you are done with your mattress and put it out on the street for trash, the residual evidence of your very private history is on view for public appraisal.
